A TYPICAL INITIAL APPOINTMENT

Each patient is unique. Firstly, there’s an in-depth consultation in which you will discuss your chief health complaints, family history, dietary habits, your lifestyle, and other questions designed to help determine the nature of your condition and the best way to go about treating the problem.

Next, a thorough physical examination is performed to help determine the correct diagnosis of the presenting condition. X-rays can be ordered if needed.

Finally, Dr. Alavian will comprehensively explain his findings and recommended treatment plan to you. Recommendations will often include lifestyle factors that affect your overall health, such as your diet, level of exercise, your rest, and recreational habits.

Relief is the first stage of care for most patients. You will likely feel relief within the first two weeks of treatment. This is the "passive stage" of your treatment, so expect lots of pampering. Soon, however, you will have to do some work! The second stage of care consists of correcting the problems which caused and contributed to the condition. This stage is about healing and rehabilitating the injured tissues. In the third stage of your treatment we emphasize core strengthening and balance. This allows you to reach your optimal posture,  strength and symmetry.
